Terms of use

Last updated 9 October 2026

About these terms

These terms apply to the Invite In app and the website invitein.app. Invite In is made and run by De Bruine Solutions, a sole proprietorship (eenmanszaak) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97437921, VAT number NL005270681B48. "We" and "us" mean De Bruine Solutions; "you" means the person using Invite In.

By creating an account you agree to these terms. How we handle personal data is described in the privacy policy.

The service

With Invite In, an organizer creates an event, adds guests and sends each guest a personal invite. Invites go out by email from Invite In, or the organizer shares a link or an image themselves, for example on WhatsApp. Guests open their invite in a web browser, reply if the invite has a reply form, and show the QR code at the door. The organizer and their team scan the QR codes and can add walk-ins.

Organizers can invite co-hosts, who help run the event, and door helpers, who only scan guests in.

Accounts

What organizers are responsible for

When you add someone as a guest, you decide to invite them and you choose which of their details to add. You are responsible for that. In particular:

If you use Invite In for a business, an association or another purpose that is not purely private, you and we are jointly responsible under the GDPR for adding and inviting your guests. We then inform guests through our privacy policy, handle their requests to exercise their rights, and keep the data secure. You make sure you may add each guest and invite them, and you pass on to us any privacy request a guest sends you. The privacy policy describes this to guests.

Guests

Guests do not need an account. An invite comes from the organizer, not from us: questions about the event go to the organizer. On the invite page, a guest can reply, remove their contact details and report the invite.

Acceptable use

You may not use Invite In to:

Reports and take-downs

Anyone with an invite can report it from the invite page, choosing spam, abuse, impersonation or something else. Anyone else can report an event, or illegal content in it, by email to info@debruinesolutions.com; we confirm we received it and tell you what we decided.

A person at Invite In looks at every report; we do not use automated tools to moderate. If an event breaks these terms or the law, we take it down: its invite pages stop working for every guest, and its QR codes no longer work at the door. Nothing is deleted. The organizer gets an email that says which event was taken down, why, and on which ground. The organizer can object by replying to that email; a person then looks at the decision again and reports the outcome. The organizer can also take the decision to court.

For authorities and users, our point of contact under the EU Digital Services Act is info@debruinesolutions.com, in English or Dutch.

Your content

You keep the rights to what you put into Invite In, such as event details, photos and designs. You allow us to store it, process it and show it to your guests and your team, only as far as needed to run Invite In for you. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, or when the event is deleted 6 months after it ends.

Free, Pro and event unlocks

Free

Pro

Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly, for all events you own. It adds: no guest limit, your own uploaded invite design, more door helpers, door rules for re-entry and ID checks, and no Invite In branding on invite pages. An event you set up while you had Pro keeps these features until a day after it ends, even if your subscription stops before then.

Unlock this event

A one-time purchase that gives one event the Pro features, for as long as the event exists.

Buying

Pro and event unlocks are bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play. In the EU, Apple (Apple Distribution International) or Google (Google Commerce Limited) sells the purchase to you and takes the payment, and their terms apply to it. The price is shown in the app before you buy. Use "Restore purchases" in the app to apply earlier purchases to your account, for example on a new phone.

We can change what is in Free and Pro. A change does not take away something you already paid for during the period you paid for.

Subscriptions, cancelling and refunds

Availability

We work to keep Invite In running, but we do not promise that it is always available or free of errors. Invite In needs an internet connection, including at the door. Make sure you have another way to let guests in if a phone or the connection fails. We can change or stop features; if we stop Invite In altogether, we tell organizers by email at least 30 days in advance.

Liability

If we are liable to you, our liability is limited to direct damage, up to the amount you paid for Invite In in the twelve months before the damage occurred, or 100 euros if that is more. We are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit. These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent or deliberate recklessness, to death or personal injury, or where mandatory law does not allow them.

Ending your use

You can stop using Invite In at any time by deleting your account. We can suspend or end your use of Invite In if you break these terms or the law, or if we have to by law. We tell you first and explain why, unless the law or an urgent risk to others prevents that.

Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. When we do, we change the date at the top. If a change affects you significantly, we email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.

Law and disputes

Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in Amsterdam. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you can also go to the court there.
